My husband and I on our wedding day

<

div class=»text-justify»>

(risas)

https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmeU1KztBgCud56L4uzsoZpDYrdJ3aP5p1MNGHMhFqf53G/1.jpg

Materiales:

Cartón de huevo.
Cilicon liquido.
Tijeras.
Pintura al frio.
Pincel.

Instrucciones:

Attract with your mind what you want to have, but do it big

What a great surprise I got on Tuesday when I saw what the Power House Creatives contest organized by my friend @zord189 was about. Every week it fills us with surprises and invites us to travel back in time. This week’s contest is about remembering that thing you loved to buy and generated a lot of happiness.

In my life many things have generated happiness, I have bought tourist packages that have taken us to great places, I bought years ago a dog called tutti that although it turned my house upside down filled our lives with joy, I have also bought clothes that when I wear them I look beautiful; even the book «One hundred years of solitude» special edition by the author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, fills me with satisfaction.

I’m going to opt for the story that I definitely love and it brings out a few sighs in me as I remember how it happened.

![3a361-28.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWtvVJCCSseTG8NPaedUeGkAv8UKDkfTHn57kPEvAtDkE/3a361-28.png)

After my postpartum rest I went back to work and I met a very cool team, among those was Mr. Jose Flores, with him I made a very good friendship, I remember that every night he washed his car in the parking lot while I watered the plants; One night I sat down to watch him wash the car and told him that one day I was going to buy it for him, the funniest thing was that I didn’t have a single penny in my pocket but what I had at that moment was a dream, a longing and an enormous desire to continue growing, my friend told me with a smile that yes, he would sell it to me, he would collect everything he could and then I would pay him the rest. I really couldn’t believe it, I thought he was playing with me. The next day I asked him before I went home if what he had said was true and he said yes. We immediately did all the paperwork and soon after we had paid him everything. It was a Daewo, Matiz 2002, practically new. It was a very nice car, orange color that filled us with joy, with him we went for a ride with the family and on vacation took us to the Andes, a trip of almost 15 hours.

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdq2x9t4d6xms6NuVQk28fXsiaeL6BY7ZPZP1Ji3Fe2JC/image.png)

At the same time my husband took me to a meeting in the office and when a co-worker saw me he said sarcastically _»Now go and buy him the truck». My colleague was referring to a Terios truck, red, 2005, that my friend José Flores had just bought. And I said, «Someday.

Time went by and I was very happy with my pumpkin, that’s what we called the nuance. But the big surprise came one Sunday when we were celebrating Mother’s Day as a family, when I saw the phone ringing and I left the meeting to answer it. It was my friend José who was ringing and at that moment I thought it was to congratulate me on Mother’s Day; But it was not only for that, with a very serious voice he told me _»Gocha, I’ll sell you the truck, you’ll pay me as you can, consult with your husband and on Monday we’ll talk» I was suspended in the air, I didn’t know what to answer, I didn’t know what to think and in the midst of so many people I didn’t know how to react, we cut the call and my smile gave me away, I jumped, I shouted, I praised God, I embraced my husband and my children and I told everyone the news, that afternoon another reason to celebrate came together.

https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWtvVJCCSseTG8NPaedUeGkAv8UKDkfTHn57kPEvAtDkE/3a361-28.png

On Monday I went to talk to Flores personally to know a little more about the business and he told me _»sell the car and get a loan from the company, don’t worry I’ll wait for you as long as it takes», nobody could believe it, a human being would do this for me, many would believe that we had something, that we were lovers or that I would miss something in return, but it wasn’t like that, it was just an act of complete kindness, gratitude, friendship.

Since then we were with our truck all over Venezuela, it took us to know many beautiful places in my country, Merida, Tachira, Valencia, Barinas, Maracay, Guarico, Zulia, Coro, Anzoategui, Caracas, Miranda, she was a warrior and we loved her and cared for her very much. It seems hard to believe that one can appreciate material things so much, but it was like that, she gave us a lot of happiness and that is why she deserved to be taken care of.

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYT4vSCpEeJC5U3xyb3DfcmqNW18ywriKJAdZ3Reu75NH/image.png)

For 9 years she was with us, but unfortunately because of the situation of the country we had to let her go with other owners so that they could continue to give her the care that we could not. I will always remember her with great affection because with her we lived moments full of happiness. For me she is still with us, because with what they gave us for her we bought a house on the beach, that is, even after she left she continues to give us the joy of having left us a place to continue enjoying and celebrating together as a family.

But don’t think we’re out of a car, no. God never abandons us and that’s why I tell you not to stop dreaming and dreaming big; I always thought about having a truck like the Hilux, maybe I didn’t get that one but I got a new white Mazda as a package and in a business very similar to the Terios, only with another person as wonderful as my co-worker to whom I hope life is giving back what he did for me in two opportunities. Wherever life has taken you, God bless you «Friend».

![3a361-28.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWtvVJCCSseTG8NPaedUeGkAv8UKDkfTHn57kPEvAtDkE/3a361-28.png)

I wanted to bring this story to share what’s behind it:

– Never stop dreaming.
– Trust in God, that he never abandons you.
– Think big.
– Never give up.
– Don’t let others truncate your dreams.
– Life is one and you have to enjoy it.

#

***Instrucciones***

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmc8gRuFFr27DZzQEK2cBQfTctEs5Y1ydi25MhtNUodQuK/image.png)

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbhnL1Xw3gXrzpnCYoQCisDiqwPE6aD2WaQJo7pkvfJbV/image.png)

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQuHscWHoTKTgPXiVVbC5TqiWEXjiNXWZgMjL6byZWnyk/image.png)

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVgQZ9gfv4dRZd8DA9seFDR5eKb9N6hhysiUUdQEY7jPG/image.png)

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQCzhV8XmpWiUhqCfnSiDe57Ytg1mccpudV9eM7iFCg1h/image.png)

A repetitive dream and why it happens to me so many times/PowerHouseCreatives Contest | Dream Dreams

Dreaming is an involuntary mental process in which there is a re-elaboration of the information stored in the memory, generally related to experiences lived by the dreamer the day before.

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRkoZoNCbR5m8kUpYEK1pz4a1pVFTP7n5e1hiRQSZNutz/image.png)

Dreams can be classified in many ways; I don’t know much about the subject but there are dreams that you like and when you remember them they generate pleasure. There are other dreams that frighten you and generate a certain amount of discomfort; we call those nightmares. As a child I experienced how my mother struggled to wake up and about two years ago we experienced the same act again; another night with my husband the same thing happened to me. Some people say that we shouldn’t wake them up, that it’s dangerous, but they have really scared me so much that I can’t leave them like this and I move them to wake up. As soon as they react they have told me what they were dreaming and it was definitely ugly.

***A recurring dream.***

Today I come to tell you about a dream that has been repeated on different occasions. After I came to live in Caracas and began to have responsibilities, a recurring dream or rather a nightmare began in me.

I always dream that someone is chasing me, it can be one or several people, of course they are very bad men who want to hurt me, my attitude in the dream is not to let myself be caught by anyone and to protect myself at all costs from my persecutors, fear takes hold of me and I run without rest and I get into places that I have never seen, they are dark, cold, desolate places.

![1f879-hwline01.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmerEQaQGn4qevXyjpL3VrYwP6H2QHU1kLRTNjWtED27RX/1f879-hwline01.gif)

The last time I had this nightmare was last year; it happened like in a ruined castle and I was being chased by some men, I was looking back and I knew they were catching up with me, but I was looking for a place to hide and I couldn’t find where, so I kept running, at that moment I went out through a door to a cobbled street where a carriage drove by beautiful horses was passing by and a couple of newlyweds were carrying it, the bride had a beautiful white dress and they looked smiling and happy. In the street there were many people watching the marriage go by and happily applauded the happy couple, behind the carriage were the guests of the banquet. On the other side of the street there was a beautiful landscape with trees that gave shade to the street and only allowed small rays of light to enter. There I woke up, that was my last dream that I remember in detail. It is always the same, only the scenery changes and the bad men, who have been changed even by aliens.

https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZtVS8BaufCEoC33BuALdwCj7isQrNeTs4X99tKzPKuNK/image.png

Years ago on my way to work I met a friend and told him about what had happened to me that night. He was a very wise man and I loved talking to him because I always found an answer to everything. He told me to explain the dream in detail and then he asked me a series of questions about how my life was at that moment. I answered that we were going through a series of difficult events at home such as the diagnosis of leukemia of my beloved nephew Bryan who was only 5 years old and also the death of my father. Costing my nephew’s chemotherapy and giving him everything I could was my biggest concern.

![1f879-hwline01.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmerEQaQGn4qevXyjpL3VrYwP6H2QHU1kLRTNjWtED27RX/1f879-hwline01.gif)

Taking care of my mother and making sure she didn’t lack anything, were many things for one person definitely; he listened to me with a lot of love and patience and then explained to me that that’s where my nightmares came from. He recommended that I find some peace and quiet and go away for a weekend with my husband to the beach or a quiet place, which I did! Thanks to my friend I learned many things and since then those recurring dreams are over.

Again happy to be able to participate in this type of contest where we can remember, highlight, exalt and remove all our feelings, thoughts, dreams that we have hidden and that @zord189 with its weekly challenges invites us to let them emerge. I say goodbye not before thanking you for all your support, I hope you enjoy a quiet weekend. God bless you.

![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVqtU1wWZBSJAaXTnk9xGDRgoicSUosdzncV4JK7qJcv7/image.png)

![i247630905_92502_7.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZpMhJ7Hgfmv3fpAAKdocz7nu5rNW1LDknV5mbQyBexMF/i247630905_92502_7.gif)

![i247630905_92502_7.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZpMhJ7Hgfmv3fpAAKdocz7nu5rNW1LDknV5mbQyBexMF/i247630905_92502_7.gif)

Ecos del Torbes AM 780 KHz – San Cristóbal – Venezuela

https://youtu.be/wOFnqnZn_1o

![i247630905_92502_7.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZpMhJ7Hgfmv3fpAAKdocz7nu5rNW1LDknV5mbQyBexMF/i247630905_92502_7.gif)

DIY/Being happy with what you do.

The aim of handicrafts is personal advancement and development of creativity. Every person who performs a manual work whatever it is, keeps his mind and body busy.

Handicrafts are a form of recreation, where you relax and create a world where you are the main character. I also see this world in which I develop, my whole body is kept in constant movement and this is also reflected in health, both physical and mental. All those people who make art with their hands are people full of love, peace and I think they see the world differently.

![0070.gif](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQbm8DpUt6mqm4YfiSuRoSnthiVWRMo7fxfCRm7goEZYQ/0070.gif)

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVdDiWT9hfr2rhFtwgahZbsosNbf8birh4Cfbt7VNQ8UM/image.png)

Today I come to present the final work of this set that I have been showing you little by little and that took a week. I’m not going to tell you that it was easy because I’ve never really taken so long with a piece. This dress took me out of my comfort zone and it was a personal challenge to develop it. What happened to me is that I had never knitted a round yoke before and although it seems simple, I had to repeat it about 5 times. That’s right friends, 5 times.

The first one was too big and the second too small, the third one still didn’t convince me and I had to unweave it to start again, so I was doing the math, looking for measurements on the internet and seeing how I could get to the size of a newborn

***Hat or cap***

###

***This was also the first time I made this cap and I’m telling you I fell in love.***

# ***step by step:***

***1st v.*** In a magic hoop we weave 3 chains that are equivalent to our first high pto, then we weave 11 high pto and close that loop with a slip stitch.

***2nd v.*** From this point on we weave a normal high point and in the next base point we increase two high points in the same base point, then a high point in the base point and so on until we finish the turn with a slider point.

***3rd-7th v.*** We continue with magnification but this time we make two normal high points and magnification. And so we continue to increase in each lap until completing 7 laps for a newborn baby. This means that on the next lap we are increasing by one normal high point and a two high point increase at the same base point.

***8th v.*** We weave 3 chains, jump 3 points off the base and get a point on the next base point. Again we weave 3 chains and repeat the same step until we get all the rings we need to make our fans.

***9na v.*** We weave fans with 2 high stitches, one chain and two high stitches inside each ring that we made in the previous lap.

***10- 14 lap.*** We will weave fans of 3 high stitches, a chain and 3 high stitches. This way until we complete the 7 laps of the fan. If you like you can change the color on the last lap.

![separador andrades.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmP3KMat2zfwrdBRPDyEthyKRfUYoikriv2ckbQ3RP5avN/separador%20andrades.png)

To complete the baby’s outfit I also made some shoes and a headband with a flower.

I think there was a moment when fear wanted to overcome or paralyze me, but I didn’t allow that to happen and thank God I was able to get through it. I think I was confident that if I could do it, I always believed in myself and that was important in the development of this work.

#

***Try again and again until your fears are afraid of you***

I hope you have loved this work that even though it gave me a lot of trouble, I don’t let it defeat me. When I set my mind to something, I fight and fight until I achieve it. I really wanted to give my client the best of me for her baby girl who is about to be born. I invite you to stay connected at Steemit and keep informed of all these changes that are happening this week and remember the task, «to be happy».

PowerHouseCreatives Contest/The hands have magic. 👐

The world in our hands

Since our friend @Zord189 launched the contest this week, I’ve been thinking a lot about what to do or what to write. The first thing that comes to mind is my children’s hands, when they were little I think I had a fixation with their hands and compared them to mine.

My children’s hands

My children’s hands are the best caress I’ve ever had in my life and they’ve given me a lot of happiness. Seeing their chubby fingers, their pink skin tone when they were babies and then when they grew up made me even happier when they first wrote Mom. Going down the street holding hands filled me with pride, it was a feeling I could not describe, definitely being a mom is being in love and there is no feeling like it.

Mother’s hands.👐

At this moment my mother’s hands come to mind, wrinkled and with many freckles all over, her fingers listless, her palms softly drawing love lines on them, really. If you look at her hands you can see years of suffering, of work, but you also see agility and dexterity. With her beautiful hands she fed the mouths of 12 children who today are healthy, strong and now give their lives for her. Her hands took care of me when I was sick and gave me a pat on the back when I was sad. Those hands cooked our clothes and while doing so she told us a story or sang a song. At night she would light the lamp for us and we would all put our hands together to pray, then she would tuck us in to let us rest. And who doesn’t remember the aim of his hands, to throw the chola at us if we misbehaved.

My mother’s hands are what I loved most in this world and today I would like to take care of them; maybe she didn’t know how to go to the hairdresser or get a manicure, but what she did know was how to process coffee from the moment it was picked up in the bushes to the moment it was put in a nice cup to drink it very hot. Likewise, her hands processed the corn, the cocoa and even the oil to put in the lamps that illuminated our nights.

So many memories come to my mind and I do not know what to write, I think I can sit here writing a thousand things about the hands of my mother, she is 83 years old and if you are not always doing something quiet never this. In December she is the one who puts the special seasoning on the beech trees, even though we have tried to make them without her help they do not remain the same. Not to mention the gardens, her plants are beautiful, she has a special hand and everything she sows is born to her, I think she has a secret for everything to turn out well.

His hands are rustic and old, but how much I would give to have her always by my side and to be able to always take refuge in her, like when I was a child who ran to protect me from my older brothers or when I had a tummy ache and with her hands she took oil and rubbed me with soft massages while advising me not to run anymore.

Your hands are powerful

You knew that your hands have power, there are people who heal by imposing their hands, I remember at this time a fact that happened to us in college when one of our colleagues was going through a bad time and the teacher realizing the situation asked us all to make a circle around our friend and raise your hands to send positive energies, healing, energies that help you stand up and move forward.

With our hands we can transmit what we have stored in the depths of our being, with just a caress you can transmit love, mercy, compassion, tenderness, encouragement and much more, we can also create wonderful things that leave a mark on the people around us or why not, in the world. That apart from the great writers like Gabriel García Márquez who wherever they went took their typewriters and their hands wrote down every thought and thus great literary works were formed like «100 years of solitude», not to mention sculptors or painters like Migue Angelo, Leonardo Da vinci, who shaped everything with their fingers, their palms and came to create works that have endured through history.

You can do whatever you want with your hands, from planting a tree to building a big building, it is good to see that through this exercise proposed by @Zord189 we have noticed the importance that our hands really have and how with them we have built the world.

Your hands are miraculous, don’t stop and do what you want, I will continue to weave with them and thus continue to bring out smiles on the faces of my friends and clients; I will also continue to put my hands together, to continue praying for peace in the world, to ask for health for my loved ones and to praise God who is my best friend. I say bye bye friends, until next time and remember,

Smiling is the task.
